Annual STAR Group Management Meeting held in Böblingen
The annual Management Meeting that brings together managers of STAR’s various branches around the world, took place between 21 and 23 September in the city of Böblingen, which is home to the head offices of STAR Germany.
The occasion was a chance to celebrate STAR Germany’s 30th year of operations.
The sizable Italian delegation was composed of: Lorenzo Mondo CEO of STAR Italy, Massimiliano Cerrato CEO of STAR Log, Bruno Antonini COO of Language Services, Paolo Sarzanini CIO of ICT, Celso Serra and Fernando Rennò of STAR Brazil, Silvia Ghiazza Production Manager of Language Services, Chief Human Resources Officer Lorenzo Venturini and Head of External Relations Luca Robotti.
The following items were presented during the User Group sessions that focused on new features which have marked the launch of our system updates: the new Service Pack 9 for the Transit suite, the updates to STAR CLM, the new release of WebTerm 7.0, Transit collaboration suite, as well as the latest updates to our GRIPS information management system in relation to S1000D specifications.
More than 120 colleagues from across the globe gathered in Böblingen, bringing their skills with them. They brought the discussions to life, helping to paint a complete picture of the dynamics of the translation and technical writing market, which, far from facing a crisis, has excellent growth prospects if it manages to fully embrace the transformation process set in motion by the industry 4.0 revolution.
With its 30-year experience in the field, STAR has confirmed itself as the first in the sector in Europe and the third globally.
